Some would say that arrogance and lawyers go together like peas and carrots. You know, that haughty attitude that lets everyone know, especially the client, that the lawyer has the right answer to everything. It might help with asking higher fees but it simply isn’t for us. Maybe because we weren’t good at this arrogance game to begin with. So no need to cry over spilled milk.
Instead we decided to just be ourselves – friendly and laid back, always ready to make a joke to relieve the tension in a meeting. Atypical but useful.
We are business lawyers but lately we’ve been looking at the NGO world. Because it is full of young, dedicated and courageous people whose boundless imagination inspires us.
